Day 24 - can't stop eating day!

I was fine until I left work! i'd been good and had only used 2 of my syns, however between 6.30pm and now i've used 9! *sigh* but they were worth it, and they kept me away from the chocolate which would have been a WHOLE load worse! I do think i've eaten too much pasta today though :s here's what i've had:

Breakfast:

porridge (HexB)
175ml skimmed milk (0.5 HexA)
sweetener

Lunch:

Tomato & herb pasta n sauce
cold cooked chicken breast

Dinner:

marshall's cheesey macaroni
steam fresh veg

Snacks:

1 caramel jumo snack a jack (2.5 syns)
1 pack of chilli snack a jacks (5.5 syns)
2 mini meringues (2 syns)
12g light squirty cream (1 syn)
a few frozen raspberries

I also intend to have a hot chocolate later with the remainder of my milk allowance so another 2 syns there.

Total syns:13 syns

My problem was that instead of going home straight from work and making dinner, I went to Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys. By the time I got out of sainsburys i felt like I was going to faint and the only thing i had that was conveniently edible RIGHT THEN was a packet of snack a jacks! So I munched on them in the car, then when I got home, I was going to have eggs & quorn sausages, but I couldn't have waited for them to cook, so I threw together some cheesey pasta and stirred in some steam fresh veg and scoffed it. THEN, i'd been looking forward to my SW pavlova ALL DAY so decided to have that too. Now i'm suitably satisfied i'm going to veg in front of the TV. ITS FRIIIIIIIDAAAAAAY!

Week 3 - Weigh in

This week I lost..... 3LBS! :D soooooooooo chuffed! So i've lost my first half stone! Yay!

Day 23

Yesterday was all well and good.... until my mother in law came over! she brought malteasers with her! I left them in the kitchen unopened whilst we sat in the livingroom chatting.... I was happy with this, they weren't opened and I could forget they were there. Except she kept referencing them and asking how many syns were in one, and then saying "oh that's such a waste of syns!" (personally I don't think so if you've not had chocolate all week and you've only used 2 syns that day, it's an indulgence!) So finally she asked me to *double check* that there was half a syn in one. I HAD TO OPEN THE BAG! Argh! So we worked out there were 34 syns in a bag, and there were 68 malteasers in the bag. Easy. 1/2 a syn each. I was right, shock horror!
So then we had to eat some of them. So since i'd only used 2 syns yesterday, I decided to have 8 of them - my goodness they were good! I've not had any chocolate for over a week, so this was like heaven on my tongue. Thankfully Hubby came home at that point and scoffed the rest so I wouldn't be tempted. How thoughtful of him!

Anyway, the food diary!

Breakfast:

porridge (HexB)
175ml skimmed milk (0.5 HexA)
sweetener

Lunch:

Baked potato
Beans
3 laughing cow (0.5 hex A)

Dinner:

Turkey chilli (1 syn for chorizo)
potato wedges

Snacks:
1 mini meringue nest (1 syn)
8 malteasers (4 syns)
a few pecan nuts (4 syns)

Total syns: 10

Really I shouldn't have bothered with the pecans, I didn't realise they were that many syns, but it's done now and i've been good all week.

Thursday 29 April 2010

Day 22

I just wrote a whole load of babble about my crap car, and my predicament for having it fixed on monday, but just lost it all cos this mac is poo and I dislike it. So I can't be bothered to re-type it all, I'll just tell you what I stuffed in my gob yesterday instead:

Breakfast:

porridge (HexB)
175ml skimmed milk (0.5 HexA)
sweetener

Lunch:

Crap, tasteless canteen soup
1 slice of wholemeal bread (3 syns)
2 laughing cow (0.5 hex A)

Dinner:

SW Chicken Tikka masala
rice

Snacks:

marshall's macaroni cheese
1 tbsp HP BBQ sauce (1 syn)

Total syns: 4 syns

Wednesday 28 April 2010

Day 21

I am SO hungry today! Not due to deliberately starving myself, OH no! I didn't have anything out for my lunch this morning and I was running late, so just grabbed a couple of ex. light laughing cow and hot-footed it out the door. Well, my plan to have a baked potato for lunch was scuppered! I trotted down to the canteen, quite peckish and longing for my yummy potato, to find that there were none left! None! At 1pm, there were NO baked potatoes! I was so deflated, especially when my only other options were a cheese and bread laden panini, chips, or crap, tasteless soup! Needless to say, I went for the crap, tasteless soup option! Completely unsatisfied by it, and now i'm so close to chewing on my desk, i'm *that* hungry! I had to use 3 syns for a slice of wholemeal bread too, to give it some substance. Urgh!

I'm also tutoring tonight straight after work! Thankfully it's in my house, so i'm going to have to make up some marshall's cheesey pasta quickly to stop my tummy rumbling as soon as i get in.

Anyway, yesterday's edibles:

Breakfast:

porridge (HexB)
175ml skimmed milk (0.5 HexA)
banana
sweetener

Lunch:

frozen savoury rice (1.5 syns)
mexican chicken (0.5 syns)

Dinner:

SW spaghetti bolognese

Snacks:

muller light
bbq snack a jack (2 syns)
sweet potato wedges
1 tblsp bbq sauce (1 syn)

Total Syns: 5

I think i'm turning into a sweet potato addict. Those wedges are all I can think about! mmmm i've run out of sweet potatoes now though, so will have to wait till the weekend before I can get some more!

Tuesday 27 April 2010

Day 20

I appear to be writing this a day in arrears of late... nevermind!

Yesterday was relatively non-eventful. Hubby went to London for work for the day, so we were up at the crack of dawn, and he came home about 8, by which time i'd prepared a MASSIVE pot of turkey chilli and some sweet/normal potato wedges. Yum! Due to being shattered all day, I had great plans of getting an early night. It didn't happen. My father in law came over about 9 and didn't leave until after 11 *sigh* so i'm feeling better today than I did yesterday, but still not 100%. I shall try again tonight!

I was a hungry caterpillar today, so I went on the munch a bit....

Breakfast:
porridge (HexB)
175ml skimmed milk (0.5 HexA)
banana

Lunch:
Asda frozen golden veg savoury rice (1.5 syns)
Mexican cooked chicken breast slices (0.5 syn)

Dinner:
Turkey Chilli (1syn - again with the chorizo!)
Sweet/normal potato wedges (I didn't realise just how YUMMY sweet potato wedges were!)
2 extra light laughing cow (0.5 HexA)

Snacks:
grapes
strawberries
muller light
marshall's cheesey pasta (oh my god, I still can't believe this is FREE!)

Total: 3 syns

woo hoo! 3 syns for all that food! I loooove this diet!

Monday 26 April 2010

Day 19

I had a relatively lazy Sunday, yesterday. Got up around 1, showered and slowly (over 3 hours!) started getting ready to go out. We left at 5 to get to Tony Macaroni's at 5.30. I'd already decided what I was having off the menu:

parma ham, mozzerella & tomatoes
chilli king prawn linguini
lemon sorbet to share

It was soooooo yummy! (unfortunately my digestive system didn't agree, but nevermind!)

Once we left there we wandered up to the venue and found our space on the floor (mother and auntie found themselves a comfy couch with a good view of the stage!) Really enjoyed the gig. It wasn't too busy, I guess that was due to it being a Sunday night, but I preferred it, it was nice and intimate. It was really strange though, when we looked about, we spotted the DJ we had at the wedding in the crowd, the band were on stage, the best man & chief bridesmaid were in attendance, as was the mother of the bride, and chris & I.... it was like a wedding reunion! Quite surreal!

The gig finished at 10, we walked round to the car and by the time we got home it was 12.30. Hubby was up at 5am to go to the airport, which ofcourse woke me up, so i've had just over 4 hours sleep, and i'm feeeeeling it! Early night tonight I think!

Anyway, food for yesterday:

Breakfast:

nope!

Lunch:

2 slices of wholemeal toast (no butter!) (HexB)
1 poached egg

Dinner:
parma ham, mozzerella & tomatoes (hexA + 1/2 for parma)
chilli king prawn linguini (a bit oily so about 6 syns)
lemon sorbet to share (don't think I had 100g, but i'll give it 5.5 syns anyway)

Total: 12 syns

Not too bad considering!

Sunday 25 April 2010

Day 18 - part 2

So, after cutting the hedge, I moved round to the back garden to start on cutting back a couple of the conifers that were starting to take over the garden. Anyway, hubby, dearest, thought that he would make a WONDERFUL tree surgeon! It's easy, after all! You just need to cut the bits that are actually in the way.... This was the result:

My poor little tree! Oh well, i'm sure it'll look better by next year *sigh*

After that, I was talked into going round to our friends' house for dinner, except when we got there we found out that they weren't actually cooking, they were wanting an indian takeaway. BALLS! I *LOVE* indian food, but I just couldn't justify it, so I opted for a chinese instead. Que me sitting with my chicken in blackbean sauce with boiled rice watching them devour their curries and PESHWARI NAAN! Argh! I did have a poppadom with (a tsp of) mango chutney, so it wasn't too bad. I survived!

So here we go, my eating for yesterday:

Breakfast:

erm... none, didn't wake up till 12!

Lunch:

2 slices of hovis wholemeal bread (HexB)
1 egg
2 Eat smart sausages... now, since eating them THINKING THEY WERE FREE! I have since found out that they're 1/2 a syn each! Blah! (1 syn)
1tsp light spread (1.5syns)

Dinner:

1 poppadom (4 syns)
1tsp mango chutney (2 syns)
Chicken in black bean sauce (5 syns)
boiled rice

Snacks:

grapes

Total syns: 13.5 - still within plan! Yas!

Exercise: Gardening

I'm really annoyed at the morrisons sausages not being free anymore! I bought 3 packets of them! How crap! *hmpf*

So today I've got the Quireboys gig (apparently our wedding got a mention on Rock radio this morning - mental!) and the YUMMYYYYY italian that's not going to break my syn-bank! Yas! Can't wait :D

Saturday 24 April 2010

Day 18

SO, I've been looking forward to today ALL WEEK, mainly because I can have eggs and bread and sausages for breakfast/lunch!!! :D I love the weekend! I spend all week eating porridge because i'm unable to make eggs at work (and i'd probably get frowned at eating them at my desk), so I lonnnnnnnng for my weekends and the scrummy food I can have to eat! NOM!

So here it is, my most delicious and almost SYN-FREE (1.5 for the marg) breakfast, and it was AMAZING! mmmmmmmmmmm

I also took a photo of my yummy scrummy paella I made the other night. It would be syn-free, but i love my chorizo too much to give it up so it's 2.5 syns per 1/4.

Right, It's a beautiful day outside, so i'm off out into the garden to cut the hedge!

Friday 23 April 2010

Day 17

I went shopping tonight to 3 different supermarkets and i've still got 2 more to go to at some point over the weekend!

Morrisons - SAUSAGES! mmmmm got some fruit and chickeny stuff too, not much else, I don't like morrisons much, so I tend not to frequent it. I therefore bought 3 packs of sausages, one for the fridge and 2 for the freezer!

Aldi - SUPER 6!! Mmmmm pineapple is only 69p!! got 2 of those (I love love LOVE pineapple!) and grapes were also 69p! amazing! I was hoping to get some lamb shanks in redwine sauce but they don't seem to sell them anymore, just the mint ones and i'm really not a fan of minty things. Never mind!

Tesco - I really only went in here to get little brown rolls, but they didn't have any! Hunners and hunners of white ones, but no brown *sigh* I shall try the Tesco extra next to my work if i'm near it over the weekend. What I DID get though, was Diet coke, 6 pack, BOGOF. So, 12 cans for £2.85. Not tooooo bad! Also, they have 2.5kg of white potatoes for £1.

Tomorrow I plan to cut the grass and the hedge since it looks like it's going to be our only nice day all weekend! Sunday is Quireboys day. I'm actually really looking forward to this gig. It's an acoustic set so it should be nice and relaxed, and hopefully we'll get to chat to the guys again. For anyone new that's reading and doesn't know, The Quireboys played at our wedding in a totally flukey stroke of luck! They happened to be staying in the same hotel and heard we were having a "rawk wedding" and popped in. Anyway, we've been to see them since and we chatted to them then. As a result of the gig on sunday, we'll be going out for food. Thankfully I got to choose where we're going so I chose Tony Macaroni's (as per my previous post!) so i'm looking forward to that too!

So anyway, today in food:

Breakfast

Porridge (HexB)
175ml Skimmed Milk (0.5 HexA)
sweetener
banana

Lunch

left over paella (2.5 syns - chorizo)

Dinner

MARSHALL'S CHEESEY MACARONI! om nom nom nom!
broccoli
sweetcorn
baby carrots

Snacks

chicken & bacon pate
4.5 Crackerbreads (4.5 syns)
mullerlight
tiiiiiiiiiiny bit of cinnemon & raisin cake ~ 20g(2.5 syns)

Total: 9.5

I was going to have some highlights later tonight, but since i'm now trying to stick to 10 syns a day, I don't think I can. I may just have some warm milk with the remainder of my milk allowance.

ITS THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEKEEEEEND! Yass! have a nice one folks!

Dilemma - part 2 - the solution!

Right, since I couldn't really see anything in that restaurant that a)looked appatising and b) I could eat without using a weeks worth of syns, we're oging to go here instead: http://www.tonymacaroni.co.uk/menus/MAIN.pdf

I've decided i'm going to have:
Starter : Prosciutto Caprese (my fave bruchetta without the bread! AND a HexA - so nice and free!)
Main: King prawns in a tomato & chilli sauce - going to ask them to hold the oil - so either free or minimal syns! YAS!
Pudding: Since it's owned by Nardinis (yes we were there 2 weeks ago :p) and I know their sorbets are fat free, and yummy! I'll have a scoop of lemon sorbet! Nom nom nom! a few syns, but not detrimental! WOO HOO!

Dilemma!

Ok, so I'm going to the Quireboys gig in Oranmor on Sunday with various folk, and we've decided to go to Paperinos for dinner before hand.... I've had a look at the menu, but I really don't know what I should order. I'm not a big fish fan, but I LOVE pasta, which is fine, but i'm 99.9% positive that they use LOADS of oil in their dishes, so i'm in a bit of a quandry as to what I should/could order! HALP!

here's the menu:
http://www.paperinos.co.uk/files/Paperino_A_La_Carte_2009.pdf

Week 2 - Weigh in

Urgh! I guess last weekend caught up with me in all my naughtiness :( This weekend I put on 1lb. I don't understand WHY or HOW cos i've not been THAT bad really, but it's a lesson learned and I shall be 100% on plan this week (despite only having £20 to do a weeks worth of shopping :/)

BLAH! I now have to loose 3lb for my half stone, and MIL is now 2lb ahead of me! I'm hoping that my gardening activity this weekend (if the weather holds out) will lose me a lb or 2!

Ho hum! No Weigh Day treat for me this week!

Day - 16

Last night I spent my time making yummy paella and pate *mmmmmmmmmmmmmm*, hence the lack of updating! Anyways, I guess I should just get on with it since I have my weigh in post to do too!

The cous cous cake appears to be hubby's new favourite snack! I've just been badgered into making another one! So this time I made a blueberry one with fat free blueberry yogurt. It's YUM!

Tomorrow i'm going to try making syn free chicken pate....I bought a mini food processor especially, so it better work!!

So today went a bit like this:

Day 14

I can't seem to shake this tiredness recently! I was so shattered yesterday I could hardly string a sentence together!

I did, however, manage to fling together some cous cous cake.... I was intrigued after hearing so much about it, so I decided that a toffee and chocolate cake was in order..... It was quite strange, not quite what I expected, but strangely nice all the same. It turned out as a cross between a sort of jelly and a rice pudding. I think i'd probably put more sweetener in it the next time, I found it a wee bit bland. Still, it was a nice snack. I plan to make a lemon one next!

So, on with the diary:

Day 14:

Breakfast

Porridge (HexB)
175ml Skimmed Milk (0.5 HexA)

It was funny yesterday at lunch time, one of the other girls I go to lunch with is on Weight watchers, and was saying "oh my lunch is completely free on my plan" and she had a plate full of veggies, then I sat down and said "well this is my completely free lunch". They wouldn't believe me! I love this diet! I just said "well, it's working, so i think i'll just stick with it" ;) hehe

Monday 19 April 2010

Day 13 - not enough sleeeeep

Urgh! from the minute I woke up this morning, all I wanted to do was climb back into bed! The only thing that really made up for the tiredness was the fact the day went quite quickly, and also that I finished at 4.30. An hour makes SO much difference! My night has felt longer and now i'm ready for going to bed.

On the down side, my washing machine appears to not want to use the fabric conditioner that I feed it, instead it fills up the chamber with water and doesn't drain *sigh* Hopefully a new washing machine will be on the cards. this one's had a good innings, it was here when we moved in and i'm sure it was here before Alyson moved in too. We'll see!

Anyway, on to the menu of the day:

Serves me right for not getting the shopping over the weekend really! My weakness is a sausage & egg sammich :p

Sunday 18 April 2010

Days 11 & 12

Pretty non-eventful weekend here, highlight of yesterday was getting my car washed, then went to the boy's gig which turned into a MEGA late one, which meant that most of today was wasted due to over-sleeping. Still, it was a good night. Today we've decided we quite fancy going to egypt on holiday this year, but we're going to wait till about June to book it to let us save our pennies a wee bit longer.

Anyway, bad weekend food-wise, don't think I actually cooked anything *sigh*

They only had some weird concoction for the soup in the canteen today, nae baked potatoes left and so I was forced to have fish & chips *sigh* Granted, I did TRY to remove some of the batter.... but i'm going to count it as if i ate it with it.

Wooooo hoooo! I weighed in this morning and..... 5lbs off!!!! I can't believe it! I thought maybe 2 or 3, but 5!!! It's just totally given me a boost! Yas!

Roll on next week! I know next weeks probably won't be as big a loss (it would be nice though!) but hopefully it'll be decent!

:D

Day 9 -.... a day late!

I didn't sit down last night, so didn't get a chance to post my foodles, due to many things!

First, when I got in my car yesterday morning I noticed white bits on the carpet, I got down to take a closer look and it was MOULD! What the HELL!? I've only had the car since December! All I could put it down to was the fact that the dealership must have shampooed the carpets and left them wet, then because of the weather we've been having, it's not had a chance to dry out.... So I went into panic mode - HOW was I going to get this off AND dried? I put my sensible head on and googled getting rid of mould from a car and decided a vinegar solution was going to be my best bet.

When I got home, I filled up my bucket with vinegar and hot water and went to work, only to find that the ENTIRE CARPET under the drivers seat and HALF of the carpet under the passenget seat had a thick layer of mould!!! I couldn't understand it! And at times had a hard job to reach it, but eventually I got there! I rubbed the whole carpet down with this solution, then hoovered up anything that was lying on the carpet (thank the lordy for Dysons!) so now it's clean if a bit....vinegary! hehe. I'm hoping that it won't come back now, but i'll keep a close eye on it, and may even shampoo the carpet if we have a nice warm sunny day over the weekend!

Anyway, after I'd done that, I went over to my mother-in-law's and we discussed the finer points of Slimming World until the boys came home from the gym. Then at MIDNIGHT we came home via Asda where I picked up a cute little outfit for one of my friends' baby. Phew! busy! In between all that, I managed to make and eat the most delicious (and syn free!) Chicken Tikka Masala! Mmmmmmm! I'll maybe post the recipe tonight, it's SO simple!

So on with yesterdays food!

Day 7

Tuesdays are by far the most rubbish days of the week. You've lost the buzz from the weekend that you still had on Monday, and there's a whole 3 days to go before the weekend. They tend to drag like no other day, and to top it off, I've had a splitting headache for the past 6 hours, despite taking pain killers!

Today, though, I haven't been hungry at all! I thought about my snacking before I left for work this morning, and made sure I packed loads of nice (free) filling snacks to munch on.

Tonight I came home and made a start on my freezable collection. Tonight it was the turn of turkey bolognese, and turkey chilli. Hubby decided he wanted the bolognese for dinner, so I put 2 (2 person)portions aside for the freezer and made spaghetti for the other one. I also got 3 (2 person) portions out of the chilli, so I was quite chuffed with that! On Thursday I'll start on the chicken curry and mince & gravy.

So, todays munchies:

Day 7:

Breakfast:
175ml skimmed milk (0.5 HEXA)
1 sachet Oatso simple (HEXB)
1 banana

Lunch:

Fruit salad (grapes, pineapple, strawberries)
1 apple

Drinks:

diet coke

Total Syns: 2.5

wow, ok, so I totally underspent my syns today! That was my self control over the mini rolls that some person in my team brought in! haha. In that case I may treat myself to a cadburys highlights.... 5.5 syns (for milk & chocolate) Hmmm....

ETA - Didn't have a hot choccy, had a mullerlight instead, so syn-count stays at 2.5 for today!

Monday 12 April 2010

Day 6 - Monday again!

Monday again, back to the grindstone! The weather was glorious again today, sadly I was back at work again. Because I hadn't bothered going to the supermarket over the weekend, we didn't have much in food wise, so I had to cross my fingers and hope that there would be something relatively low syn/free in the canteen. Thankfully I was in luck! They had some yummy lentil soup on, so I had some of that :)

Anyway, on to todays menu:

Day 6:

Breakfast
1 sachet Oatso Simple (HEXB)
175ml Skimmed milk (0.5 HEXA)

Lunch:
Homemade Lentil Soup
Cranberry & Raspberry Mullerlight
Quavers (4.5 syns)

Dinner:
SW quiche with bacon & peppers (0.5 HEXA)
1 tblsp Ex. Light Mayo (0.5 syns)

total Syns: 9

I al UTTERLY shattered tonight. I had great plans to make big bubbling pans of chilli, bolognese, curry and stew to freeze..... my tiredness appears to have taken over though, so I think i'll just go off to bed. I'm on lates this week, but i'm going to get up at my usual time and try to be productive. *nods*

Day 5

Urgh! I'm so STUFFED!

Once I'd hung the washing out this morning we decided to go out for a drive to find somewhere to have brunch. We ended up going down the west coast to Largs, but got stuck in an horrific traffic jam! By the time we got there it was already 4.30, so just decided to have brunner (breakfast lunch and dinner in one!). Anyway, we ended up in Nardinis, and because I hadn't eaten at all ALL day, I decided that I was just going to have whatever I fancied from the set menu. I ate like a queen, and I don't regret going over my syns AT ALL. I was STARVING!

So here's the damage:

Breakfast/Lunch:

Nowt

Dinner:

Lentil soup
1 thick slice of wholemeal bread (HEXB)
Spaghetti carbonara (12.5 syns!)
1 scoop of lemon (FAT FREEEEEEE) sorbet! (I was in Nardini's after all!) (6 syns)

Total syns: 18.5 (and worth every single one!)

I'm now off to curl up on the couch and groan about how full I am!

Day 4 - in retrospect

Ok, so it's day 5 just now, but i'll post about yesterday since I didn't get a chance to!

It was a beautiful day outside, so I decided that it was high time I actually cut my grass. Since we missed the last cut last summer due to the wedding/honeymoon, it was really quite overgrown and disgusting, so I bit the bullet and got on with it! I tidied up a bit roung about the grass too to make it look a bit less messy, so it's looking quite nice now! I also got 4 loads of washing out and dried, which I was quite impressed with!

With all my rushing about and working, I completely lost track of time, so I didn't get to eat any lunch! Suddenly it was dinner time and I hadn't prepared anything, so since hubby had to leave to go and set up for his gig, I just defrosted some bolognese I had in the freezer and put some spaghetti on to boil. Fabulous!

Thankfully, because I hadn't had anything for lunch, or any snacks, I had a full days worth of syns left! So I decided i'd go along to hubby's gig and have a few drinks. Woohoo!

So anyway, on with my (very sparse) food diary for yesterday:

Day 4:

Breakfast:
2 poached eggs
2 slices wholemeal bread (HEXB)
baked beans
bacon

Lunch:
Nothing!

Dinner:
Spag bol
42g red fat cheese (HEXA)

Snacks:
2 percy pigs (3 syns)
1 vanilla & chocolate mullerlight

Drinks:
3 glasses of water
1 cans diet coke
4 vodka & diet cokes (10 syns)

Total Syns: 13

Not bad, considering! My mum, who was at the gig with me, was trying to convince me in my drunken stooper that we should share some pakora from the BEST indian EVER across from the gig, but I resisted and just went home. Haha - Hooray for drunken self restraint!

Day 3 - Part Deux

It's friday night, I've had a busy day/week, I have the house to myself, and i was really quite peckish.... I also had a craving for chicken shish kebab from the kebab shop in town. alas, I thought better of it and decided to make my own! Oh how yummy they were, and healthy too! I decided I just wanted the chicken so I diced up 2 chicken breasts, sprinkled on a very generous helping of smoked paprika, a sprinkling of garlic sauce, garlic powder & onion granules. mixed it all together, fed it on to 2 bamboo skewers, gave them a quick spritz of frylight and shoved them under the grill for 8-10 mins. Took them out, off the skewers into a bowl, 1 tblsp of ex light mayo, DONE! Surprisingly it really filled me up too! I need something sweet now though, I think i'll have a muller light in a bit.

So today's menu:

Day 3:

Breakfast:
28g Oatso Simple (HEXB)
175ml Skimmed Milk (0.5 HEXA)
sweetner

1tbsp ex lite mayo (0.5 syns)

Snacks:
2 percy pigs (3 syns)
4 maltesers (2 syns)
1 chocolate fudge alpen light bar (3 syns)
1 vanilla & chocolate mullerlight
1 cranberry & raspberry mullerlight (still to have)

Total Syns: 10.5

Oh! My SW books arrived today! I shall be prepared when i'm out now! It doesn't matter where I go, I'll know what I can and can't eat! I actually can't believe fajitas are 25syns though! And Guacamole is 10!!! Surely not?! they're my fave! :( I'll just need to eat them without the tortillas and just save my syns up for the guac. *sigh*

Right! I'm off to watch TV with my muller light and hot choccy mmmmmmmmmmm!

Day 3 - Part One

Just a quick post this morning, I'll do a proper update later.

Weigh in was this morning, almost forgot due to being half asleep and running late! Jumped in the shower, realised I hadn't stood on the scales, so jumped out and on to the scales, then back in the shower.

This week I Stayed the same, which isn't too bad. It's what I was expecting, but I secretly wanted a 1lb loss. Nevermind, next friday I'll see the fruits of my labour!

Back later!

Day 2

Today has dragged in! Mainly due to my mundane job being... well... mundane really! And when i'm bored, I want to eat, and convince myself that i'm starving. huh. Anyway, i've managed to stay within my 15 syns again today (12 - go me!) so far anyway....

I've got syn-free spag bol cooking away at the moment. I'm waiting for hubby to get home from work with a new tin opener (he broke our old one last week!) so I can put some chopped tomatoes in it, and i'm starting to get a bit peckish and a craving (TOTM) for chocolate. SO, I checked out what was in the fridge and lo and behold, there was a HEAVENLY vanilla mullerlight with chocolate sprinkles sitting there looking at me. I absolutely ADORE these yogurts, and they cure my chocolate craving! The fact they're syn-free just makes them bloody brilliant!! so i'm currently scoffing that :D

I'm actually enjoying following SW, it's a lot less restrictive than the other diets i've been on, i'm just hoping that it shows on the scales!

Which brings me on to my next topic! I've decided that Fridays will be my Weigh-in day, so tomorrow is my first official weigh-in, HOWEVER, since I only started yesterday, I used the weight I was last Friday (randomly weighed myself then) as my starting weight, but we're all too aware of how much of a wash-out the weekend was with chocolate, sooooooooooo I'm not really expecting a loss this week, if anything I expect to have gained. It won't bother me though, the WI i'm bothered about is next weeks. I'mm hoping for a decent loss for my first *proper* WI. That'd be nice....

I saw my old team leader today, and she's lost SO much weight! I can't get over it! Not sure how she's done it, but one of my colleagues said she just cut out all the fat from her diet. I suspect she's been using weight-loss drugs like Ali too, but we'll never know I guess. I just hope I'll have managed that soon!

Ok, so todays menu...

Day 2:

Breakfast:
28g Oatso Simple (HEXB)

Looks like i'm not quite ready to kick the chocolate habit just yet! hehe, but i'm impressed that i've managed to stay within the plan (just).

I found that the muesli & yogurt thing really didn't fill me up at all, so i think i'll have porridge tomorrow instead. 42g of muesli is NOTHING. I was quite shocked!

Anyway, bring on tomorrow!
